Once upon an All Hallows' Eve,
emerged a terror within the night:
a gauntish figure through the trees
whose pale bones shone in moonlight.
His skin and flesh had long decayed,
yet mind and devilish grin remained—
in undeath he would haunt the living
as he had before the grave.
He stalked the streets inspiring fear
into the souls of helpless victims,
casting shadows as he neared
foretelling something wicked.
From the thing grotesque and sly,
countless people ran and cowered,
seeking sanctuary, thereby
hoping not to be devoured.
But as the night began to fade,
so did the figure, into black.
In legend he is now remembered
as Skellington, Jack.
